Popped in this evening as Thursday night is curry night and feasted on the best curry i have ever tasted. It was fantastic....Hot,spicy and polished off with a couple of superb pints of Doom Bar. Nice. They also do milder curries for those who are not as daring.

The new couple running the mill should be given a massive chance, the ale is great , the food is great and as a couple picking up and trying to turn the place around into a pub to be proud of the community should get behind them. This pub has been sadly neglected in past, but the new mgmt do have a passion to make things better

Under new management AGAIN!
Something very wrong with this pub.

Went by last night. There was a massive chav dispute going on and I think the police came. Although it has just been taken over by new management (yet again!), it seems the chavs have taken over again too. I think this place should just be demolished.

In a word..DIRE!

It had closed in May 2010 and I was hoping it would be permanent unless it had a name change and went upmarket..

Alas, this chav-pikey infested hell has reopened.

A truly awful chav hell-hole. Come friendly bombs and destroy it and its plebs forever. I wish my local pub was not this one, it is a blot on my area.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

To sum up, a dump. OK the pub is on a housing estate but the people who use the pub probably aren't that local, more likely to be from the rough estate further down the road. Expect to see bottles flying.

the pub is near a housing estate but you get all types of pubs i am afraid to say. it is a good size and has lots of entertainment going on there from live bands, karaoke plus more.... there is more then a selection then just chips from mash, new potatoes plus more.. it has changed alot and is not now a mill house pub! It is a solo pub which is changing from the mill house boring ways. plus the pub should being reverbed some time this year.

This is a good size pub with seperate raised eating area, seperate raised pool area with 2 tables, big screens. Okay - the menu is a little chip-efied but the food is better since new management took over. Carmen, lovely lady bless her, is the first permanent manager in a while now and is really trying her hardest to turn this one around. Live music is always great. It has a shop just across the road so it is easy to top up on ciggies, chocolate or money. The Karaoke, once a month, has been picking up and is now being tried with a late license til 1am. Normally first or second Friday of the month, best to phone and check. Definitely a child-friendly, but law abiding pub. It is all down to the people that go in there, if friendly people of varying personality that just want to relax and have a good time then the atmosphere is brilliant.

An absolute shithole, no other pub for miles around and so this has become the mecca for Thatcham's pond life. Never ever put a pub in the middle of a new housing estate, yr asking for trouble. And thats certainly what you get here - its best to get pissed as soon as possible then you wont notice the feeling yr in West Berkshire's very own Basra.

A grim night out - please avoid.

This really is awful. This is where Chav's are made after extensive training. I was once here and there was a fight in the kitchen between two people that WORKED here.hill

Don't be suprised if you have to wait ages for some one to come out of the kitchen/stores to serve you.
People eat here and I just don't know why. Another classic everything cooked in the microwave place.

Chips with everything. Cheesy Chips, Chilli Chips,
Chip Sorbet. Should be raised to the ground to start again, burying all the existing staff and customers in the ground with it....

Maybe not, Mill House Chav Amytyville springs to mind....
