Several ales on tap tonight, including Tribute, Eagle, Directors and a seasonal offering fromYoung's, which was very palatable and £3.50 a pint.
Plenty of the pub turned over to dining. Food was decent, service quick and mains around £8.50 to £13.
Decent enough boozer and obviously doing something right as it was busy, even on a Wednesday evening.

We visited here on Easter Sunday lunchtime and felt a little uncomfortable to be simply drinking as diners were arriving looking for tables. This is clearly a food-oriented pub, with a Sunday carvery at weekends. As the previous reviewer states, the ale range is fairly limited - Directors, Tribute, Black Sheep & Bombardier. The Eagle was off. But it sounds as if the range does not change too often.

Nice pub. I often make the effort to visit from Park Street. Friendly staff, decent beer and some good food. A hidden gem.

Fantantic pub, full of character and charm. Bar staff are welcoming and friendly everytime we have visited. Food is excellent - never had a bad meal!

The Roundbush is our little oasis in the Hertfordshire countryside...

I love the Round Bush! Great staff, great food...you cannot beat the Blue Cheese & Bacon burger! Prices are slighlty stiffer than others in the area, but it keeps the trash out. 11/10

I've eaten here a couple of times (hot food) and was quite satisfied with both the quality and speed of service. This is a genuinely pleasant pub, and the choice of 4 real ales is better than you will find in many pubs around this part of Hertfordshire.

A pub that youd need to either drive to or live nearby, mainly the former judging by the full car park. Bus no. 602 does however pass along the top of Round Bush Lane. This is a fairly typical country pub with very low ceilings, even to the extent that part of it above the dartboard has been cut away to allow for the trajectory of the darts. There were five hand pumps I think with Black Sheep and Tribute and it looks like they usually have one or two guests. Also had Addlestones Cider on draught. Its quite a food orientated pub but not overly so. Child friendly, pleasant outside seating areas, one small unobtrusive TV.

This pub looks great from the outside, an unpretentious brick building. perhaps a couple of farm workers cottages at one time. Surprisingly bright inside and very geared for food with a member of staff poised at the door with menus. We were just drinking, got served quickly and went and sat in the garden. My pint of Black Sheep was well kept and no one else in the group had any complaints so I would happily go back for a pint but the earlier comments about the food have made me wary.

Ask for a Sandwich. You'll love it! Could do with some mini papadums to make it perfect!

four quid for half a ham sandwich with no salad ,just a couple of crisps, looks like it had been prepared by a three year old who was also drawing a picture and picking his nose at the time!.Stop taking the piss ,improve your food or reduce the prices drastically.Shame as otherwise a great pub.(Or you will carry on losing your punters to the golf club.)

Stopped off for a quick pint and bite to eat about 2pm last Sunday with my 10 year old son after morning activity. I liked the pub being unpretentious and generally welcoming. There were a few ales available on tap and I chose Green King IPA which was reasonably well kept and the hugely overworked bar staff were attentive and polite although it took nigh on 15 mins to get served.

However the food was a disappointment in terms of, quality, value and speed of service which was dire. Perhaps they had underestimated the level of demand on sunny Sunday. Having waited 15 minutes to get order taken at bar it took 50 mins to produce a synthetic-looking fish fillet in batter and an uninspiring quarter pound burger, both served with obviously frozen and oily french fries and a sad-looking salad garnish. Like most choices on the menu, each meal cost about 8 so hardly stunning value either.

I might go back for a drink sometime if passing but not to eat. The Battle Axes about half a mile south is a better bet for food.

Really nice, large village pub with a restaurant attached. Front and back gardens, and a car park. Good basic but wholesome food is available, and the barstaff are very welcoming. 8/10
