Just off Temple Bar - upmarket pub with very friendly bar staff.

Best is that is one street off of Tempe Bar so it's hidden and a local boozer. The Stained glass and wordwork are exceptional, and the publicans pleasant.

Certainly one to visit if your in Dublin just how you would imagine an old Dublin pub to be,good beer and company seemed popular with tourists as well those that had managed to find it! Well worth seeking out Good pint of Smithwicks

Nice pub. Good Guinness. Proper Dublin pub in terms of the interior. The bar upstairs is open regularly now and the room there has been done up. It's not too far from the crowds in Temple Bar and is a lot more peaceful, particularly at the weekends.

Fine looking pub, lots of wood and stained glass-Have to agree with Albert on his comments.you can actually see whats in there, since they introduced the smoking ban.Tricky place to find on your first trip, but there is a small mosaic with the pubs name on Dame street which shows you where to turn off the pavement and through the passage to the pub.Enjoy!

Don't visit Dublin without going to this pub. Great Guinness and the food is excellent and comes in HUGE portions.

Kind of hard to find, in a back street near the castle. Worth seeking out, though. Lovely old stained glass windows, and original panelled interior. The Guinness was very , very good. Staff were genuinly friendly... even letting us walk behind the bar to get to the cosy room in the back, with it's glass roof. They've also go the head of some kind of super-stag over the bar it's MAHOOSIVE. A gem.
