Three local ales on tap when I visited, decent food and the place was busy with locals and their dogs.
Hadn't been for about three years and it's now a much more open and welcoming pub in a lovely setting by the water (well, if the tide's high, anyway).
Well worth a visit.

A delightfully hidden free house now under a new long-term lease. Licensee has a balanced and progressive attitude to both his food and ale offer with unusual "specials" such as the tapas menu available when we visited. Look out for a changing range of ales....I enjoyed a superb, light Spring Ale in the beer garden overlooking the cove. Best visited at high tide but even without water the outlook is lovely.

I am Steve the bar / cellar manager at the Wilcove inn. I would like to thank the people who have posted views/ ratings of the pub and I am very gratefull for all of the comments. I would like to point out however that the four ales on was a special at the time and I usually have only three.
The gentleman who complained was there on a Saturday night ( my night off ) and I would love him to call the pub and have a chat so we could discuss his issues-- after all we are a public service at the end of the day. I am sure we can come to a friendly outcome where my real ale recieves a fair review and not a bad one because it was the last in the keg ( someone will get the last one everytime )

Heard so much about how good the food is I decided to take my partner for a meal there last weekend. We booked a table for 7.45pm. We arrived about this time and told the waitress would be over to take our order. We sat with our drinks and I noticed my beer was off. I went to the bar and asked for a replacement which was brought to me. A party of of about 12 walked in and sat next to us on their long table. The waitress IMMEDIATLEY served their starters to our amazement. They had come in about 15 minutes after us. I spoke with the waitress and asked how much longer would we have to wait and was told ' it's on it's way '. I got really annoyed when the other people started to get served their main course when my partner and I was still waiting to be served. By now it was nearly 8.40pm and we both got up to leave. I went to the bar and let my feelings known to the landlady. Not much of an apology just an embarrassing ' sorry '. Won't be going back there in a hurry. Crap service !

The friendliest pub within easy reach of Torpoint - I haven't tried the food but the menu looks pretty decent. The ale is very well kept; when I was there they offered four ales on hand pump: Doom Bar, St Austell's Trelawney Harvest Ale; Otter Bitter and Bay Best.

There is a folk music session every other Monday evening at which all levels of ability are made very welcome.

Ditto previous comments.
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast. Friendly landlord who likes to rotate his real ales.
Keltek's Golden Lance went down well.

Popped in for the first time in ages recently. Enjoyed a couple of very decent pints (Betty Stogs and a Tun 50) in the garden.
Friendly service, very clean, no TVs or loud music. And the views are great.

Good off road parking.
Warm decor, not a theme pub,not a loud music or tele pub,a real pleasure to visit.
