Not open the other lunch time (Thur`s) looks more of a restaurant.

Went for a meal, which was pricey but very nice - and the waitress service was absolutely top notch. The advantage of dining at a "pub" for a meal rather than a restaurant is that a decent pint can normally be had to accompany the meal. Unfortunately, the management don't take as much care over this aspect as they do over the food and the service - the only ale available was Doom Bar in pretty poor form.

More a restaurant than a pub. The food is generally good, although maybe slightly over-priced. It is possible to go in just for a pint and sit on the stools by the bar, but really this is somewhere you go for a meal.

Unable to get to work this week so I've been roaming the village. The Lobster Pot is under new ownership but little has changed, it's still a restaurant not a pub but the service is good as well as the food although a little pricey.

Not quite as good on last few visits as before. No roast beef on a Sunday !

Still consistently good.

Good honest food, reasonably priced. A gem. London needs more places like this.

Been in The Lobster Pot a few times both to eat and just for a beer. The food has always been excellentnd a great selection, can't fault it, best to book though as is very popular. The service is superb, always friendly and very efficient.

There's a really good beer garden too for the days that the sun does show it's face.

Good selection of beers and wines and reasonably priced. All in all a very good find and well worth a visit.

On the whole the food was good - but we found a caterpillar in the salad - still it was whole and very clean - but Yuuuck

Have just had a lovely Sunday lunch with all the family. There is something for everyone on the menu.Having read the Oct 3rd comment I can only say that I wish my school dining room had been anything like this place !!!!!!!!!

If you want to treat yourself you can do a LOT worse. Food is brilliant and fish is amazing (better than Loch Fyne!).
Nearly all the staff are from overseas, they are all unfailingly very cheerful and very efficient. Nice bar if you just fancy a quiet, classy drink as well

Party of four of us found the food and the service very average and the decor reminded me of a school dining room, The echo from the hard wood floor did not help.Pleasant enough but will not be rushing back.

I must agree with Littlecon, the tea was very nice and the steak I had was superbly cooked. The portions are quite good and the service was very swift. If you like cheese, I can recommend the cheese board, 4 different cheeses, grapes, apple, nuts etc. My only critisism would be that its a little warm, I never saw any aircon, but it would be most welcome. Food was not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Had lunch with friends on sunday. Really nice and the chocolate puddle pudding is fantastic. My dad said that the ale is always good too.

Very good food

Poor service, average food, high price.

I'm happy to pay good money for good food, but that is not what they serve here, it's a pub that serves food but charges London reasturant prices.

Don't bother!

Food & beer were good (if expensive) but the style of decoration inside was odd....made the place feel very 'sterile'...no atmosphere. Average overall.

You've probably heard many an old man saying this. Well I'm a young man and I'm going to say it too - what IS happening to the traditional english pub? The 'Lobster Pot' - or should I say 'The Cricketers' - was a nice relaxed place to have a local drink. Now, as this place has gone the way of many others in the area, if you want to have a local drink you might as well go to Threshers then sit in front of the TV. But one day even Threshers will start serving overpriced, elaborate food instead of drinks. I've no idea what the Lobster Pot's food or service is like - and I'm not falling over myself to find out. Rant Over.
