A nice pub that Charles Wells seem to have no interest investing in. It's looking a bit tatty inside and out and so they'll probably get rid of it in their next big cull because it's "not doing the right business" for them - despite it being largely their fault - again! We've seen this happen all over north Beds, so watch this space. With it being the last pub in the village, it will be a shame to see it go if it does. The locals do use it and there are many things happening there, but this may not be enough. The quiz nights are always good and the beer is usually on good form. Young's Winter Warmer on for the last quiz night in very good nick.

A nice friendly pub, if slightly tatty interior. Food is cheap and basic, meals for under a fiver that fill a hole. The beer can be hit and miss with quality, always has Charles Wells Eagle IPA (@ 2.70 a pint and 2-3 guests (@ 2.90 a pint) are rotated regularly with variety ranging from standard breweries such as Courage through to micro breweries. A generally friendly and cheap welcoming pub, ideal for a couple of decently priced drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

Great beer, friendly staff, and a beautiful pub. Agree with 'payback' - Most people are friendly if you're friendly to them!

A friendly mood to the evening. We called by chance having been for a long walk with the dogs and very hungry. We intended to have a quick bite and a drink but ended staying for most of the evening! We've lived locally for 12 years and never bothered visiting. Shame because it really is ok. The menu is basic but reasonable. It is not a restaurant so don't expect too much. But it is a good friendly pub. Well worth a visit if your local and want a local pub!

This place is very friendly and I go there every day for two pints and have never had a problem. The comment by Deggy is somewhat confusing. Did he expect everyone to come up to him and start speaking? Quite simply you get out what you put in and if you try being friendly you will get a proper reply.

Not the most friendly of places, but a nice pint of beer and plenty of room to sit down.
