For me, the Knob always comes across as a locals pub though the MacDonalds next door may change this. It's good points are that it's trouble free and cosy. But I can't say it's every been a particularly attractive place to visit.

I use this pub every now and then and dont agree with the comments made on july 7th. Its not a bad pub although it is a bit expensive.

Steve H - if this pub isn't very good then why do you always drink there? And why are you not classed as a regular? You obviously do drink there quite a bit as you know who the 'regulars' are and apparently you 'often spend 10 minutes' waiting at the bar. Go elsewhere if you don't like it! And LT complain to staff - nothing will be done if you don't say anything.

I have drank here a few times and found the pub quite friendly and welcoming.Service is good beer a little expensive.Like most of the pubs around here it has one or two nutters. One night i was in there and somebody who had too much to drink picked up about five pool cues from the rack and threw{all five at once}across the length of the bar.Godknows how nobody was hit.He was not asked to leave which i found disturbing.

Very poor service and expensive beer. Staff will serve regulars before other members of the general public - have often spent 10 minutes + waiting at the bar watching the staff talk to regulars rather than serve other customers.

local pub, local beer, what more can you say..

and the dryer in the ladies hasn't worked for nearly a year - does no-one wash their hands?

Oh and the male bogger was out of order for seven months because they were too tight to fix it. Also some Irish bloke hangs around the male toilets..watching...

Dirty, miserable staff and more expensive than city centre pubs. Average pint 1.70

Sorry, forgot to mention the pub itself! Massive place with hordes of unsupervised kids running around causing mayhem. Believe that the footy team mentioned below are pretty good as it happens.

Many moons ago there was a pub in the area called the Saxon King. They had a footy side in the local Sunday league and a mate of mine was highly amused when they were defending a corner and somebody shouted 'get a Saxon head on it.' Wonder what these blokes shout?
