Haystack, Canvey Islandback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Seeing as there have been no reviews for over 3 years I thought I'd pop one in. Now, there are not too many pubs in Canvey to chose from, but I would say that this is an OK pub. Pretty big and on the high street. Good choice of lager and spirits etc though from memory no real ales or much of a wine choice. Last time I went they closed the pub side fairly early on a Friday and shoved us into the "club" area which was a bit annoying.
Altogether an OK pub for a few beers. Bar staff are friendly enough and there is plenty of seating and a few sofa's etc.

A fizzy pop pub, no real ales but if its mass produced, pissy, gassy, over-priced lager served by monsters, then this is for you.

Just to give a more recent update from the previous three comments - nothing has changed. Will it ever ?

Looks quite pleasant from the outside, but there's nothing else appealing about this pub. Expensive and exceedingly dull.

Only Pub that seems to have no women in it at all, even when the evening disco starts.

Large two bar pub in the "town centre".No real ale,so not worth a visit.
