Busy pub, I had Black Sheep which was ok, the pub has a very good beer Garden.

Some level of community feel and the odd decent ale including the local-ish White Horse but it was probably only packed because Arsenal were playing Chelsea on the TV. Very run of the mill albeit busy for a Tuesday night. Bicester appears to lack any really decent pubs.

This used to be my favourite pub in Bicester unfortunatey the last owners have left and within a couple of months its gone from a place with a great atmosphere to a place where you can't enjoy a pint as your waiting for the next fight to break out. A couple of weeks ago the toilets looked like a scene from saw with the amount of blood. Anyone on pubwatch is welcome and drug use is obvious. If you do get trouble off some of the scum in there don't expect help from the owner because you won't get any. The garden is now a tip, its not sky sports as advertised its some foreign channel. Go there if you like drugs, fighting or hanging around with the scum of Bicester or be like me and a lot of the decent people that used to drink there and find somewhere else.

I have to update my previous assessment on this place. I popped in so as to avoid a downpour after doing a spot of banking recently. It's been transformed as Cathy68 correctly says and I will happily go back. Well done - having left an awful review 18 months ago it's a pleasure to say this.

Got to say, get down to this pub on a Sunday night, it's karaoke and the place is buzzing.

I have to disagree with the negative comments from previous posters, this is a lovely little pub, and what they have done out the back is superb. It is a good place to hire out for private parties. There was one in there last Saturday, and they had a hog roast (which smelled delicious) and a disco (which sounded fantastic - the DJ was playing some great party tunes).

Unfortunately as I did not have an invite I was unable to go in the marquee ( I was with friends in the public area outside) but it sounded like they were having fun.

Inside things have much improved since the smoking ban, but the smokers are happy anyway, as they can sit outside in comfort and even watch the footie on outside screens.

Popped in for a couple at the weekend having been away for several months. The inside is still the same but the garden is superb. It now has a permanent smoking shelter with two TV's! Excellent place to watch sports and they've started selling real ale again.

Zena Hinchley (she who won Channel 4's rudest landlady of the year award) would turn in her grave to see 'wot the little bleeders 'av done to my pub'. Thirty odd years ago this was the in place to go in Bicester. These days it's just noisy and full of bods who are just legally old enough to get drunk.

If you are ever unfortuinate enough to be in Bicester then please do not compound your misery by visiting this pub. It is truely awful.

If you're a smoker then give this place a try, large marquee with heaters in the garden which now has grass! No real ale unfortunatley but have got john smiths and stella so I'm happy. Also do some decent homemade food.

Nice small little pub. Far too smokey though if you aren't a smoker. Can be a little too squashed in there when there are a few people in there. Beer is consistently good and well priced. Staff aren't bad either. Suffers a little bit when "the locals" are inthere because for some reason they congregate either at the far end of the bar or smack in the middle of the pub which means you can't get passed. Not had food in there so can't comment. Music is pretty good. Could do with a little TLC but generally a nice place. Beer garden is more of a beer car park but at least they made an attempt.

Ahhh...The White Hart. A tremendously underrated little gem in my view.

Yes - it can be a little dark and dingy and the ashtrays aren't emptied very often. But it has one thing that many pubs don't have these days and that is character. The place feels steeped in history.

The landlady is very young, but what she may lack in experience she more than makes up for in her youthful enthusiasm and welcoming nature. I am always made to feel welcome in this pub. And best of all - it is the only pub I know anywhere that shows the evening horse racing on its screens - both UK and USA, which is developing a following in this country. With a large Corals almost next door what more could you want?

So it's a big thumbs up for the White Hart from me. Mine's a pint of Strongbow! Cheers!
