Enjoyed my overnight stay here, being made to feel very welcome. The menu isn't hugely extensive and what there is is maybe a bit over-elaborate but everything I had was good including a really excellent steak. The beer was good enough without being particularly exciting

Welcoming foody pub, providing a good companion to the Rose & Crown across the road. Friendly and local beer was very good.

Mostly a food pub, but is welcoming to drinkers again. Only had two ales on (their own badged ale and a Coastal Cornish Bronze), but both in good nick.

Just spent a great Easter saturday lunch here with 2 young children (one 3 and other 19 months). Good real ale (Hook Norton) and very friendly service.

The food was excellent.

Started a mini pub crawl of Charlbury here. Cosy bar with friendly, welcoming staff. Two real ales (Wickwar and Hook Norton I think) and both were excellent. Recommended.

Had a very good Sunday lunch here yesterday. Was driving so couldn't sample the beer myself but the Hooky was apparently really good. Staff very friendly and service excellent.

More of an up market country resturant than a pub.
Excellent, food and a couple of well kept Real ales to choose from
