A 12th century pub that succeeds in offering all that one would expect from a pub that old. We had Harbour local micro IPA and some fantastic food. Although they have a lovely garden we chose indoors as the lounge bar oozes character. Highly recommended and has rooms to stay in as well.

we dropped in at 5pm while on holiday on way back from eden project on off chance of getting something to eat.... well four adults and four children came away with massive smiles and full bellies what afantastic place. The food was crammed onto the plate and was mind blowing not a single complaint from anyone of us even the nightmare eater among us ate a whole bowl of mussels. the owner is a fantastic guy who nothing was too much trouble for especially four kids oh i wish we lived nearer as i would be there every weekend

Excellent choice of beer. Strange, or at least different, choice of food.
Not cheap.

Super, tucked away, village pub. Well worth the small detour off the main road to visit. Food very good and the beer (Skinners, Betty Stoggs) in excellent condition also had 3 other beers on tap at time of visit. Interesting interior with historic photographs on walls and old well with glass cover in the entrance hall.

We stayed the night here in one of their wonderful "detached" rooms. Beer was good, Sharpes Honey and Skinners Ginger Tosser. Food was mixed, great pate with an unwashed gritty salad, really nice main dishes but with undercooked veg. However, it might have just been an "off" night and I'll definately go back when in the area.

We enjoyed a good meal here before our long drive back to London. The pub is in a great village setting and it has a well near the entrance from the car park. There's plenty of tables available for drinkers and diners alike. Even though it was busy, we could still eat on a Sunday evening. Skinners Spriggan Ale, Heligan Honey and Betty Stogs were on alongside Sharps Doom Bar.

Can hardly fault this place, food is great, beer is always spot on, has great atmosphere, lovely beer garden.

Only problem is foul language of locals coming from small 'snug'. Ought to be discouraged by staff.

Stone floors, ye olde feel to it and a decent pint of ale. Was ok i reckon.

Guide books say it is excellent. I mark it as average, and a bit disapointing for a rural Cornish pub. Food is fresh but menu is not big. Dining Room in need of refurb
