A liitle bit of England...in the rocks area not far from the bridge

This was just about the best pub we visited during our recent Australia tour. There's a good range of beers brewed on the premises, which like most Australian beers are a little gassy. But they are all good quality. They also have a good selection of local and imported ciders. I particularly enjoyed the 10% I had! On all of our visits, the place was busy with an interesting array of patrons. On our last visit, we sat next to a Norwegian philospher and an Irish cleric who were advocating 9/11 conspiracy theories - very entertaining! This is certainly one to search out whilst in Sydney.

Visited in November. Brilliant pub with an excellent range of beers the 'Blood' was particularly good. It's full of local Aussie's not Poms as it's pretty hard to find. I would certainly recomend searching it out, it's between The Rocks and Darling Harbour

I never got to go to this pub cos i couldn't find it. Sounds a pom place( I ended up in the Steyne Hotel near the Manly ferry).

This should be the first port of call for any discerning beer drinker or homesick pom, the beer is awesome (for Australia) and brewed on site. The food is good and the bar staff generally friendly. Forget the claims of so many other bars and hotels in Sydney, this is the closest you're going to get to a decent English boozer with a colonial, hand built by convicts flavour!

If you only go to one bar in Sydney (yeah, right!) make it this one, highly recommended.

Great place for a decent pint. Had a run in with some stupid old drunk who stole the stool from under my wife's posterior. I thought it unwise to be arrested for beating up an old man however annoying. Rest of the clientele were pleasant, happy souls. Well worth a visit.

A home from home, if you fancy a great pint of propper English ale. A choice of around 4 or 5 beers, the ones I had very nice, and you get a propper pint glass not those silly schooners. Definately a good place to drop into.

This place was brilliant, the best pub in Sydney without a doubt! The staff were really friendly and the food was great! Most importantly the beer was good too! They had six natural brews on tap when I was there, varying in strength and taste, but generally all good. The staff are more than prepared to chat about each beer and its respective qualities! The building itself was fantastic too, a must if ever in town!

Looks great as do the staff.
Beer is very good. In country missing culture this pub provides a bit

A great pub, one of my favorites in the world. A great old building, a brewery with great beers, good food and a good atmosphere. It is also clear that the landlord has an eye for a pretty girl so the barmaids are very pleasant too.
