Don't know of a wine bar here anymore. I think it is now a Send & Receive Parcels establishment.

Believe this is still closed.

I don't know when it happened but when I walked past Saturday evening it looked like it had been closed for some time. There's a notice on the door about contacting some management agency for more information.

Heard it may be closed, anybody know?

wow what a wild place!
Visited here about a month ago whilst waiting for a train. The characters in the place were unusual to say the least, obviosuly a fairly heavy drinkers pub , not somewhere I would want to visit regularly but harmless never the less. No real ales on tap but in bottles at an average price

Strange place, full of coloured chairs and tables. Looks more like a childrens play school than a pub. Not the best place to go, pretty basic as anywhere goes. Does a few beers but no real ales.

Scruffy place, noisy, very young clientele who all appear pretty drunk; you're probably best advised to drink outside. Having said that, the one real ale (served direct from the barrel) is very acceptable and you couldn't be handier for the station - so maybe a good place for that last half before jumping on your train!

Probably the worst bar I've been in around Basingstoke town centre for a long time. Tacky, cheesy and overpriced.
Never again!

Now called Platforms
still not a good enough reason to go in though !

Not bad, clean and tidy. Pleasant staff and reasonably presentable punters. No real ale, just a freezing bottle of London Pride for 3.35. Better than the traditional "pub near the station" dump so often encountered.

I know it has been sold on and the new owners did have a opening party a few months ago, but since then every time i walk past it"s closed
Mind you i walk past when it"s open!

To every BITE user under 30 yrs old she was the lead singer of a group called Sleeper, and a dam fine looking woman as well if she worked in Sleepers i would use it myself but alas no! so i agree with Quinno walk the extra 100 yards to the Queens and enjoy a proper pub without having to walk into the wetherspoons/lloyds infested rest of the town

No not a bar owned by Louise Wener but a rather upmarket wine bar thingy by the station (Sleepers, see?).

Anyway it didnt have any ale so I only popped in and out. Looked nice enough but quite pricey.

Closed at 6pm on New Years eve? what is all that about. Have heard that the original owners have sold it to someone else as of a couple of weeks ago. Wonder what the future has in store?

More like a small pub than a wine bar. We went on a Weds evening and were surprised to see it was packed out. There was a DJ and karaoke. Good if you like a place that is lively and loud.

If you can't afford this place then don't go there.

Only use this place at lunchtimes, don't know what it's like of a night. They do good coffee.

I have been past and had a look, it certainly is well decorated and people did seem happy there. Should do well in it's market, as the only other drinking establishment of this type in the town is the 'Rhu Bar' on London Street. Sleepers is at the other end of town so in a good location

A little gem of a meeting place ot after work haven. Not in the station but under it (the old parcels depot I believe).

Friendly staff and a wide selection of wines and bottled beers. Food is good but the best dishes run out quickly.

Live music on Tuesday evenings and at the weekend and a wide screen for footie when that is on.

Intimate atmosphere when there's no footie or music and bigger than it first looks.
