Friendly, small pub with attached campsite. No food served although there is a pop-up kitchen at weekends. Hobsons Best is the regular ale with one or two changing guest beers but this is a cider-led pub with what seemed to be a dozen or so different keg and bag-in-box varieties on sale. Regular live music too. We visited during their "Ciderganza" weekend so it was particularly busy but very well-managed.

Now owned and run by the Ross on Wye Cider Co. Good selection of beers and ciders at the bar and loads of their cider to be purchased from the building at the rear of the pub. The food is very good too. We sat out the back in the garden on a lovely day with a pint each and a plate of their tempura vegetables.

Walked to this pub from ross on wye in the snow whilst me and my girlfriend were on a long weekend in ross.
Landlord was great really friendly and beer was good a well priced too.
Would go back for sure this is a proper pub.

having never been to this pub i cannot comment on the actual pub itself however at my sisters wedding this weekend, an off site bar was ordered from the yew tree, my mother rang to confirm it in the morning and tell them the time that other caterers and the bands would be there. they were due to arrive at half past two, however by 4pm there was still no sign of this bar. when phone my mother was lied to and then eventually told that the bar we had ordered had actually gone to cheltenham. basically they had got a better offer! i think this is awful and had it not been for the generosity and willingness to help from both family and friends it could have easily ruined what is supposed to be the happiest day of someones life. I hope it was worth that knowldge
