This pub seems to be shut on Mondays. Mad or what? There's plenty of competition locally which will be glad to take their trade.

Since moving to Littlewick Green early this year, we have tried most of the pubs/restaurants in the area and can highly recommend Novello's. The friendly, welcoming staff go out of their way to ensure you get 1st class service . This along with fabulous food, great new menu, and stylish, comfortable surroundings makes this a must to visit for either lunch or dinner.

Recently discovered The Novello and have been there for several meals with my family. We fell in love with the place and also held a small gathering there for my daughters birthday. The service mathes the high level quality of the food served. I couldn't reccoment this restaurant more highly, excellent food.
They have recently launched their christmas menu's for the festive period which looks absolutley wonderful. Have booked a table for our family on Boxing Day as the wife insisted we must take our family visiting for Christmas.

I agree with two of the previous posts regarding decor. The Novello has a warm ambiance with friendly and attentive staff. I remember having a pint here a few years back when the place must have been under different management and there certainly has been a noticeable transition. The food was varied with healthy portions which all appeared to be freshly made.
On a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy the decking area which then gives way to some beautiful countryside scenary. With a god selection of ales, this place comes strongly recommended.

Seems to be under new ownership. As a result the food is great and i've become quite a regular during my Lunch break for a quick sandwich and a pint. Good value lunch menu with good variety. I even took the misses for dinner and was delighted by the range of meals available. My steak was spot on and my girlfriends curry was something special. I recommend this place, nice atmosphere and decor. It's a good alrounder.

A great transformation, a good decor has now become a great atmosphere. Excellent special occasion events and evenings with catering and beers to match.

Friendly, modern gastropub in the country with a nice outdoor section at the back overlooking the countryside. Been a few times now. Eaten once and the food was of good quality. Ideal venue for a few drinks with friends in comfortable surroundings or just the one on your way past. Good choice of lagers or beers including a timeless Timothy Taylor's Landlord.

Three ales on (Rebellion IPA, something from Tring and another one, probably Brakspear). My Tring had clearly been sat in the pipes for a good few hours as it was warm and a bit tangy. Shame, as this isn't too bad a place and they're clearly making an effort getting the ales in it's the management of them that seems to be lacking!
Obviously very up-market foody, the inside is quite nice, a good place to take the girlfriend (if the beer quality improves!).
Until then...

terrible. One meal was barely cooked - sent back. Service slow. Garlic bread was a lump of bread with raw cloves of garlic shoved into it.
will not be returning. after a meal for 7 people only 1 person said that their dinner was edible.

passed it several times without stopping. When we did venture in for a drink, were pleasantly surprised. excellent pub. will go back

This pub (Novello's) is closed after a fire and will reopen within the next two weeks.

This pub is now called The Novello. It is a sophistacted pub and dining rooms where you can enjoy a great meal or simply relax and unwind with a drink. The garden is pretty special as well and not like anything else in the area. Well worth a visit.
