I have to say that this was a terrible experience, we had food which was bland, the oil was old as our chips were not edible, our kids sausages were deep fried and i could not believe the price of the food, restaurant prices!! I would have expected better. The ale was very average. We visited the competition across the road and what a difference, proper sausages and chips, fantastic blue cheese burgers along with good atmosphere.

Unusual pub seems to be off a housing estate when you enter and not typical of when it was the Seagul many years back , friends call it the Formica . beer is good but overall only drop in as and when really

Well supported by five locals. Is this a profit making venture? I don't think so. Clean and tidy. Television switched off without consultation at 10.30 p.m. by the Landlady - this was very uncaring and inward looking! This Pub is doomed - just like its neighbour. Dull and boring .

My rating for this pub has sunk even lower this year. Tried a Weston's cider in here for a change. Came in a dirty glass, and a round of 3 drinks was the most expensive on my whole tour of Cornish pubs this year. Will definately not go again next year!

Went in here for something to eat. Got to say I was a bit dissappointed. The place was virtually empty apart from a few locals playing pool and propping up the bar, and depite them the place felt cold and soulless. We were plonked into a sparsely decorated and dingey area to have our meal, which was passable but simple fair. The waitress told us the place had been taken over by new owners only recently and that they were in the process of doing the place up, so good luck to them, but they need to get a move on if they are going to get any trade. The Doom Bar was fine though.

Might not be as good as the Albion opposite. But when the suns gone down, the BBQ opens, nothing fancy, but the kids seamed to like it.
