The pub has now been demolished and houses built on the land.

Passed the pub yesterday and it's boarded up. What can I say?

Went here today for lunch. Not too busy so thought we'd be able to get
served quickly. Ordered food 3 ploughmans and a burger as we didn't have too much time. After 40 mins asked where food was and were told it was on the way, 10 mins later still not arrived. once arrived had got half the order wrong so complained for a second time and correct order brought out after 5 mins! 3 other tables in the restaurant also had to wait nearly an hour as well. Food was ok but can't do a bad ploughmans!!! Don't go here if you're in a rush.
Can't comment on what cooked food was like. Staff pleasant enough but not great customer service. Appeared very short staffed. Would not go back or recommend
.

The pub has been taken over by Spence of the Lower Bell PH, Blue Bell Hill, Maidstone. I'll be interested to see how the pub turns out.

We visited this pub for dinner on a friday evening and the food was very good. The staff we very attentive.
We visited a second time for Sunday lunch and was disappointed that the standard was not as good as our first experience.
We will try a third time.
The pub has a lovely garden.

sorry to say just had a poor sunday lunch here why? beef dry, chicken served a while after the beef a was tough, veggies flavourless, carrots almost like puree. No interest from hosts as to why we left so much, when mentioned that we were disappointed was told that no one had ever complained before> either we were the unluckiest people to have ever eaten there or perhaps the hosts are disinterested in true feedback. shame.
