Can't really call it a pub - five stools by the bar and a small table with two stools are the only spaces for drinkers. beer was okay but it just ain't a pub.

Charles Wells pub on an A road in the village of Moggerhanger. Ales were all from the Wells and Youngs range - Bombardier, Bombardier Reserve Colonel's Choice, Eagle IPA & Youngs Bitter. The place looked as if it was more of a diners/families pub and felt a bit pretentious. It was very quiet on my Saturday afternoon visit. Nice décor though.

Excellant pub. Stopped here for dinner and a pint a few months ago. Had fish and chips. Served quickly and food well cooked. Fish had to be put on top of the chips and salad you got that much for your money.

Landlord was very friendly. Do not live in that area but would spend a lot of time in that pub if i did. If you are travellling on Bedford Road cannot think of a better place to stop.

Food is really nice. great choice especially the vegetarian selections, they also do a range of homemade pies and an extensive lunch menu. Situated off the A603, nicely spaced out with a separate conservatory-style eating area. Caters for children too. All round good experience.

Went back here for the 1st time in nearly 3 years, has changed a bit because they have done the place up a bit.

The food is still just as good, i had a sunday roast which they do for 6.95, they now do a breakfast 8am till 11am. They have a separate smoking and non-smoking section, a games room and they do allow children. Also a car park at the rear.

Staff seem ok, although the manager seemed to be having a disagreement with one of them.
