Really gone down the nick since the big lad from the Midlands and his Chinese lady left, no food on, no real ale or if your lucky a flat rancid GK IPA and the lager is crap too. You check their social media to see if anything is on and all you see is the new "managers " in the loosest sense of the word as they are never there , slagging off the previous owners.

Such a shame as this was a cracking boozer with good beer, food and atmosphere with loads of live sport on, the brewery must have dirt in there eyes to employ these managers who are literally running it into the ground.

Seems to have gone downhill since last visit, only one ale on, GK IPA and not in too good nick. I asked where the landlord was as I liked him and his Chinese lady, to be told they had gone and you'll be lucky to see the new one. Real real shame as this place was good !!!!

Popped in Saturday lunch time and then after the match Luton won in the rain and hail. Quiet at lunch time, but the 3 real ales, Abbots, Crafty Devil and Timothy's Golden Beer were great. Well looked after and a nice price. Lady of the house does the food, she being from the far east, well past Norwich, does Chinese, Indian and Thai. Large portions, very tasty and cheap. Going back to work through the menu on other match days. Good size, clean and tidy, with beer garden for the summer. Filled up after the game. Nice people, proper local.

A MUCH IMPROVED PUB IN RECENT YEARS AND WELL WORTH A VISIT.

A pub that seems to be on the way up with a decent beer garden.

Surprisingly good. A couple of decent beers and the landlord seems to be quite pleasant.

Oh yes, revisited the pub yesterday, not only do they have a landlord with cracking taste in music, he plays virtually anything but leans towards rock music, but they show all sports, most on multiple screens.

They have a very sweet chinese landlady who rustles up the most amazing authentic chinese food which you can eat in or takeaway, this coupled with a good array of real ale and your usual lagers, this is possibly one of these best pubs in Luton, not far from the train station and football ground so worth a visit.

Having been giving the place a wide berth for quite a few months, I re-visited the Gardeners in June... and, now there's a decent guest beer, it all seems quite decent again. Not sure how long this will last, but whoever is running the place now seems to be doing alright.

Not a bad pub. Have only visited late afternoons but seems quite friendly.

Underestimated pub which has been let run itself for the past 12 months, but is not under new management who are promising a good selection of real ale, new food menu and sky sports.

It has its own car prk and enclosed garden, ideal for that lazy pint or 3 in the summer, so give it a go.

Ale kept well enough to make you wish it wasn't a bleedin' Greene King pub. This pub has the quietest jukebox in the world - the noise of the cd changing in the machine is considerably louder than the resulting music.
So, good for a quiet late afternoon/early evening drink. Can get a little too busy and noisy at the weekends though.

It's where I go for a quiet GK IPA after work or with my wife when the kids are away... friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere - quite tastefully updated a few years ago. Quiet patio area.
