This pub does not even serve beer, so was disappointing after a longish walk - and it was cup final day. Just wanted a beer and see the result. Only lager!

very pathetic way to run a pub as it has an uneasy feeling of shady people drinking inside there, as I have overheard some nasty racist remarks said about certain sectors of the society by staff and customers...(might be regulars by the look of it). very sad to as my time spent having a drink was well wasted. Very unsanitory toilet as well the look of the pub. This landlord really does not care about customers.

Can only agree with 'Marty' - not too bad, but not a very comfortable atmosphere either.

Didn't get the greatest feeling from this pub. Took the parents there for Sunday Roast when they visited.
It wasn't bad, not bad for the area I guess, just didn't feel too comfortable.
Don't let that put anyone off, I've not been back since so I should really give it another go before writing it off.
First impression: Lacks character.

Admittedly i don't pop in here as much as i used to (a bit hard considering this used to be the pub i popped into when i was at college in the late 80's, and i don't live in Woolwich) , but when i drink here at whatever time of the day, i always enjoy myself. Normally i'll go in early afternoon when it's quiet, and you just get a few shoppers and postmen in there. It gets very loud in the evenings, but nothing too out of hand. Good place to take a girlfriend or family depending on time of day. If you want to have a real good session with mates, or just have a quick pint by yourself you can still have an ok time. There's plenty of room inside, a jukebox with decent music on it (all tastes) , and two pool tables (including the smallest pub pool table i've ever seen!!!) . They do dinners in there, but never got around to ordering one due to too much drinking and pool playing :P The only pub i've known to serve a 99p pint of bitter, which was godsend at the time (this was about 10 years ago) . Must go in there again soon :)
