Sorry can someone please help me. I need to know if this pub is open in the day for kareoke, say 1pm?

This pub is brilliant for live music evenings - these are free to get in apart from Xmas / New Year etc. I'm afraid there is no real ale on tap though.

Live music is normally on every Wednesday (general jam night - some very good players regularly turn up),

and on the first Friday of the month ("general" tribute acts playing covers by a selection of artists).

Highly recommended for any local live music fan.

had a shocking lager in here recently

full of estates watershed doing karaoke

didn't feel remotely welcome going in on my own

A fantastic pub. I disagree strongly with the comment about dingy and overpriced- where does that person drink, most likely owns a pub and does not like a successful competitor.
The Vibe has to be one of the best public houses in and around epsom. I live a few miles away from the place but consider this to be my local as everyone there is friendly and you feel safe (being female) unlike many of the other places in epsom where you are pestered by the local 'think he's all that.' For free entertainment which is always top class and a fair priced beverage the place is great.

I have been using The Vibe for several years now and it is an excellent place to go with good entertainment including a fantastic 80's tribute band called
tru-romantix who regularly fill the bar. They have loads of other decent bands on too and is about the only place in Epsom where you can regularly see a live band and for free too.

The landlords seem pretty decent guys and the drinks are reasonably priced.

I like it so much that I've booked it for my 40th Birthday party this September !

tiny dingy, thinks its hip (and also that people use the term hip) full of pretentious ex-art students who now murder old hits karaoke style.
overpriced design nightmare, perfect for over 30's looking to drown failed career sorrows.
free from atmosphere and welcome, when it has any customers at all theyre wishing they were elswhere.
harrynotlarryfool - 13 Feb 2007 12:29
A great Pub, warm atmosphere, friendly clientel. It's sound set-up is arguably the best in the county, so it's a real treat to hear a good band play there. The Landlord (russ) is fair and firm, and the customer service is much better than you'll be used to in most (but not all) of the pubs around the area.
I hate Kareoke, but stil had a good night. Go along and make up your own mind.

I disagree as well.

Its a good pub with great locals and the beer isnt that expensive, and good quality. Some of the pubs in Epsom need to clean their lines more and take a lesson from the Vibe as they seem to be spot on with theirs.

Maybe it was an off night, every pub must get them. Thats the prob with a "public house" anyone can walk through the door, but I have seen the two owners refuse to serve people if they were drunk or rude and equally ask people to leave if they step out of line, and thats for the good of everybody.

Only one bad comment so far, but you cant please everybody. Maybe a competiotor to the Vibe, who knows?

Certainly wont stop me drinking in there as its a great little pub!

I disagree, the people in this place are really quiet friendly and would certainly tell all others the same.
Maybe the locals were having a bit of an off-night.
I'm sure it will be better next time round . . I hope.

WELL THINK THE BAD VIBE WOULD BE A BEETER NAME . BAD ATTITUDE INSIDE BY A FEW PUNTERS...

Top pub in Epsom.

I go in for the karaoke on Thu, Fri & Sundays. Really good set up in there, and a few good singers to boot!

Live music every weekend, mainly on a Sat evening, sometimes on a Sun afternoon, and its amazing the qulaity of some of the bands for such a small venue, really is a music lovers place to be.

I also join in the Acoustic Jam they have on the last Sun of the month, always good fun.

They've started doing some really good food weekday lunchtimes now and you get the feeling they're constantly trying to improve things, recent new garden furniture, tv's etc show they actually want to make it a great pub!

The duo of Scratch and Jane are here on the 12th August.
Looking forward to it.

Hi I'm Scottish Dave from the Vibe House Band and I'm starting a Blues Jam on Wednesdays at the pub - starting on Wednesday July 19 at 8.30. Come down and check us out and if you can sing or play to any extent, get up and perform too! We've been running the Twickenham Jam at Filthys for some months now and we've had a great time - let's have some fun now every week at The Vibe. All backline and drums provided. Just bring your instrument or sticks. See you there. Any queries, call me on 07976 334497.

Cheers

Dave

We played a gig here on the 27th may, and I have to say the venue and its staff were just great.
Adrian, is part owner , and a hell of a nice guy to deal with and has this place working well.
Look forward to more gigs here.

A good duo are preforming here on the 27th May. Don't miss it.

Top pub, the live music at the weekends make it one of the best pubs in the area by far..
Good food and they show all the live football on a big screen.
Well worth a visit..

The Vibe looks to be growing out of it's awful 'Friends' past. Nice little refurb has now been completed and it feels like a real bar now rather than a half hearted go at a theme pub.

Live music is really taking off now for them too, seems to be regular Saturday and Sunday bands who are all suprisingly good for such a little bar in Epsom!! With so few places in the area putting on such decent live music, you have to check this place out!

Great place getting more and more 'done-up' - new toilets and outer paintwork etc. Looking veery smart these days. Friendly crowd inside. Great live bands at weekends. Pop rock/ soul etc, worth checking it out. This place gets better and better, but not one for you if you like 'ale' - none of that here altho I have to say Grolsch lager at 2.65 a pint can't be complained about. Worth a visit when there's music on, definitely. People travel here from Sutton, Kingston etc...
