Does any of the other people who have commented on this pub remember Guy Standeven (died 1998) who drank there? He was one of the most prolific actors in British history. He smoked a pipe, was balding and had a partner/wife called Felicity Andrews (died 2008). I'm researching his life and career so please contact me at [email protected] if you can help.

I am from Nz and worked in this bar for a while. Friendly crowd and a bright orange bar top. Always thought I'd get back to see the place - what a pity!

So, so sorry to see this pub has closed when I recently revisited Hampton Wick. One of the true great London taverns. Now an unecessarily huge noodle bar. Sad, sad, sad.

Has been converted into a Chinese restaurant, sadly missed.

Great pub. Good atmosphere, beer always good and excellent staff. Nuff said.

This pub could well & truly serve the best Sunday Roast this country has to offer, not to mention the staff, although it's not the same without Mike.

This pub is dead good cos it serves right nice beer and the staff are really, really nice and know me dead well. On sundays they serve the best roast in the world (Ken's gravy recipe is top secret).
