please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Greens Bar has now been sold by Marstons now and has undergone a complete redecoration inside and out by the new owners. it will reopen shortly as a family style restaurant and a relaxed environment . Real ale will be available and as they are free of tie the choices will be endless, just thought you may like to know, cheers!

i have passed your comment on to the manager and they have said that all there lines get flushed at least 2 galloons of water after each line clean and that it would not be possibly for the beer to taste of line clean .............so changing the pint would have indeed been a benefit even if it was from the same line the glass would have been diiferent !!!!!!

Changed it for what precisely? Ringwood Best is the only real ale in this pub so any replacement would have tasted exactly the same. Yes, I acknowledge that even the best of pubs serve up a duff pint from time to time but when it's as a result of the lines not being properly flushed you have to wonder at the quality of the staff or staff training.

I have just looked at the review about the ringwoods at greens and I would have to say that I have now been drinking in Boscombe for 24 years and have never had such a nice pint of ringwood best as I have had in that pub.
If there had been somthing wrong with your drink then you should really have told the bar staff, they are all really friendly I'm sure they would of changed it.

Was in there recently and the Ringwood Best had a marked chemical flavour which I fear was cleaning fluid. The fact that the pipes are being cleaned is commendable. The fact that they are not being flushed afterwards isn't.

Well I Have to say this pub is heading to the dogs, the last manager got the push so Im told. And since he's been gone in my eyes its really got worse only 1 person behind the bar most of the time and all those that have been barred from the previous manager are getting back in and some are not pleasent. So come on Marstons get some 1 decent in who knows what their doing running a pub and make Greens enjoyable again.

Back in Bournemouth for a few days recently and noticed how downhill greens has gone.if you want to drink surrounded by dossers yelling drunkenly to each other at 2pm on a weekday then this is the place for you. Will the manager used to be able to run a decent pub. What on eatrth is he letting it go to the dogs for?

Iam a regular at this pub and come to my attension that since the last manager left more people are using the front door area to smoke, this is very off putting and they should be made to use the area provided at the back of the pub

We often use this pub for our work lunches but just recently we've been disapointed to find the kitchen closed. This has been happening quite alot just recently and they only started a new menu last week. since the last management team left things have gone a bit down hill and all very dissapointing. So hurry up Elderidge pope and get a decent manager in.

Ive just visited this bar over the last weekend and against all the comments above I think this bar is brilliant ie good food cheap beer and also the staff are very helpful and pleasent I would deffently call again. The one down side is the smoking area set up at the back is not big enough as their appears to be more smokers than non smokers.

Very disapointing experience when visiting this outlet
recently. It has an intimerdating atmosphere and also the service is very poor, the staff seem very miserable and snooty.

Full of scum and worse. Avoid at all cost.

Much disapointment when entering greens bar. Its dark, dingy and smells slightly of urine downstairs. The staff were ok, could smile a little or even pretend they enjoy their job, and i found who i think were the managing couple rather rude. The pub lacks personalitly,.....the beer was cheap though!!

Another slight name change as it is now known as Green's Bar. Nothing much else has changed unfortunately. Still the same boring lay out and although they had Ringwood Best it wasn't particularly well kept. Bit of a rough crowd as well although nothing like as bad as Deacons it's got to be said.

Greens is an ok pub, nice relaxing sofas and tetleys/carlsberg at 1.60 a pint up till 7pm.My one major gripe about the place is thatit cloeses at 7pm on a sunday evening!!!

One pub in Boscombe that has no atmosphere at all. May have the music and the footie watching but does nothing for me. This is where all the boring people go.
