Decent pint from a selection of about 4 cask ales. Didn't eat there - seems to be fairly expensive restaurant-type prices (eg rump steak 14.95).

Food_drink comment 2009, I agree, If you like frozen produce go to Hare and Hounds.
When was the last time the Hare and Hounds had to turn people away because they where fully booked ?
Go to Sugervine and see the comments of people who know about food .

Got to admit haven't eaten here for years but it has had a major refurb so I'll look in soon. Beer's well kept but was very quiet and girl behind the bar left as soon as she'd served my pint leaving me stood at the bar all on my own. Didn't stay for another pint.

Food was overpriced and portions were small, very little choice for vegetarians. Hare and hounds just down the road is amazing and in a completely different class to this place which was a complete disappointment.

Grossly overpriced. Food OKish. There are other pubs/restauraunts in a few miles which are far better value and better food. I will not be rushing back.

agree with previous postee, great food and beer, including the best pint of landlord I've had for ages
