in reply to greenwich bee-stinger it was the day before the pub closed for good...therefore the staff were probably not that cheerful. the pub is now closed for good thankyou to all staff and customers

Bit of a scummers pub. Rude staff who are over familiar at times, (alright, Bitch!)Bit of a blokey/pint drinking girls pub. You are better off going to.....well, anywhere!

It is closing Mid October 2004 to be refubished as a new screen for the new cinema. Sad to see it go.

Sunday afternoons are wicked. Good pool table (although a little overpriced)and no idiots hanging about. The menu is cheaper than just about everywhere else but the quality is excellent. No jukebox but the music is always good. No Sky (boo!) but the locals were watching a video game on the big screen (weird). Bar staff friendly and helpful. Recommended.

No Sky sports cus they can't afford the 400 quid a month! Rip off pool table 1.30 a game!!! Never anyone in there. Bar staff don't have the courtesy to smile and more often than not have to come from the punters side of the bar to serve you!

the best pub in greenwich, the friendliest staff in the wholw of greenwich.

Fun for football, good music, well priced food. Sexy bar girls, a nice welsh bar manager etc.

DJ's are always good aswell.

CLOSED - re-opened as The Market (looks like the same people who have bought the Gipsy Moth, and the old Railway (Tavern) in Blackheath).

Looks the same inside, though.

very loud at the weekend. Work day nights not so loud, on two levels with the usual selection of drink plus food I think I recall. Comfy seating upstairs, and a large screen tv which gets pulled down for special football matches etc.

Nasty Firkin boozer that's clearly dying on its arse - the staff try, but it's like the bar of the Titanic, especially when most of its punters have decamped to the Auctioneer.
