First visit here today. Food was good, if a little pricey. Beer was very good. Definitely a pub for eating rather than drinking in. And now the only one in Southwick now that the Axe & Cleaver has been levelled.

We went to The Farmhouse last night as heard that there were new owners, We were so impressed, Adam the landlord was so friendly and offered us the wine of the week at 9.95, they also had a large selection of other wines & well kept beer which my partner liked & told us what was on the specials board , the food was outstanding & so was the service, the atmosphere was great. We will be back & have told our friends.

Visited on Sat 4th Dec for meal with friends. Friends starter of avocado was black. She advised the waitress who took away and bought soup instead. Soup so cool she was able to put her finger in and leave it there. Main course came. Steak requested as medium 8oz rump. Shrivelled dry burnt steak presented. Chips very overdone. Raised with waitress who took steak away to re-do returning to table with it and LOUDLY announcing in front of all patrons that 'chef considers it medium' extremely rude and embarrassing. New steak then presented which was perfect. Senior waitress then proceeded to discuss with other staff openly in front of us. We all had a sweet. My friend was still eating hers when senior waitress cleared table around her (this at 9pm). Meal was overpriced. Staff were sullen, rude and patronising. Would not recommend at any cost. Very poor.

The starters were excellent and most of the waiting staff very good. However when a cooment was made to the waitress regarding the poor and bland quality of the main course this was relayed to, whom I assume was the senior waitress, whose attitude was condescending and inappropriate. The setting is great what a shame the senior staff lack manners!

Its not like a pub and its not like a restaurant. Its expensive and the food is edible. Sadly the staff need to learn to smile and loose the robotic approach.

Very rude manager, I cancelled a group family meal for 20 because she was so obnoxious! No customer service skills at all.

I wouldn't eat there if i was paid!!
