Being a resident in East Grinstead, I visited this pub for the first time last weekend. Sadly the experience was horrendous.

The pub hosted a very small group of wanna be football hooligans who decided to irritate other drinkers with a stream of confrontational, racist and homophobic comments. The bar staff were hopeless in dealing with the situation.

One to be avoided at all costs.

a kids playground since the oz landlords departed.
proud parents getting drunk whilst their brats run around causing havoc.
gone is the early evening relaxing pint after work .avoid if you want a quiet pint after a hard day at the office.

I have always been weary about stepping foot into this pub, until now that is, the new owners seem to be cleaning the place up nicely. The food is great, probably the best in town. Price's are reasonable. And there is a lot more seating now. Well done to the new Landlord's. Lets hope it goes from strength to strength.

I popped in for the first time today at lunchtime. It wasn't very busy but the welcome was okay. Only one real ale on(Pedigree)- or was it, because it didn't seem to have the Burton "snatch" to it, unless the recipe has changed.

Nothing to write home about and the Sky Sports on the screens was distracting.

This pub has recently been taken over by Wendy and Jayson who are very popular landlords in East Grinstead (they used to run the Dorset Arms). They are very quickly turning the Broadway into the place to be in East Grinstead with a friendly relaxed atmosphere, so I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Now that The Broadway is under new management, it is much cleaner, the food is a lot better and the staff seem happier and friendly. Well done to the new management!

Not a pub i would recommend visiting. Used to be a great place when Mike was running the show. Has gone to the dogs since he left. Pool table price is ridiculous, food isnt great although i must admit the staff are a nice bunch but then again they have mostly all gone too.

The waitresses have always been nice and good looking. The terrasse is nice especially for the summer. FULL STOP. Nothing else good to say about this place.

If u r a drug dealer, if you have the same composure when playing pool than Rooney has when he plays football, if you fancy a fight.... then this is the place to be for you.

i give this pub a rating of one only because it has 5 pool tables...the fact that they cost more than a quid to play is nt good tho!also the fact that you will more a less get "hustled" for one in there isnt good eitehr..and the fact that it as someone quite rightly said...is occupied by "single celled people" makes it possibley thee worst pub in the england!oh yer...n their pubs also taste like sum1s cleaned them with bleach...:-S last time i remember anyway...gladly that was a long time ago!

habbited by the single celled people of the town this pub is only good if your looking for a fight, the many pool tables it advertises are good if your a millionaire willing to shell out well over 1 quid a game. I believe in the phrase never go to the pub nearest the train station as it tend to be the crappest.
