please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This place is open again. Very quiet when we went in and remains a cold atmosphere. The food is ok (probably not even as good as before it closed) and we fear that it may be attracting a few of the local undesirables. Much better places nearby.

This place has recently reopened with new owners and I was pleasantly surprised when I visited yesterday afternoon. There is now a lovely relaxed atmosphere - staff are very welcoming and attentive. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The outside area was the perfect place to enjoy the London sunshine.

I was really keen to go to this pub - good reviews about great, friendly service and good food - plus the website gave the impression of a pub that really cared about its standards. From the word go, we were served by two members of begrudging staff (e.g when the tables hadn't been cleaned, lights weren't working and we asked for these to put right we were made to feel we were causing a problem)

To be fair, the beef on the Sunday roast was really good but the yorkshire pudding was cold and not cooked properly - in fact two other customers sent it back whilst we were in the restaurant) and the roast potatoes were soggy.

Every pub can have its off day but the ratings have been consistently high for this place so it was a real disappointment. A real contrast in atmosphere when we moved away from this pub to the narrow boat 5 mins down the road the change in atmosphere was incredible - happy light hearted and a world away from the depressing environment we'd face in the North Star

Used to go here, but find the experience a bit cold now. Other restaurants have better food and there are certainly better pubs nearby ie The House Restaurant and The Baring pub

Really good pub food, friendly staff. I have had some nice wine there but they pour a good pint of Guiness

This hasn't been reviewed for a while but it's superb. The food is excellent, wine list quality, staff charming and it's comfortable. The single let-down is the lack of real ales but they have just added Adnams' Spindrift - a small step in the right direction. It's become my local by choice and it's excellent.

Great pub, comfy chairs, nice enough staff and free table football table. Excellent local.

(Claims to be open until 1 on Friday and Saturday but has closed before 12 last couple of time I've been.)

Spacious, friendly, comfortable and extremely attractive pub - which is unfortunately all completely wasted unless you're interested in drinking cheap cocktails, overpriced and appalling wine, Guinness or lager.

lovely pub, modern in style, but with big old tables and a good feeling to it.
PS: Check out the pole dancing stuido over the road....

Lovely pub with fantastic staff. Always recognise and chat to regulars. Food can be good when they don't put to much effort into it, Steak Sandwich is best. Patio area which is great for wasting away sunny days
