Only one old fella nursing a half when we visited on a Tuesday night - barmaid looked a bit startled to see us! Very large pub with pool table, it might be given a new lease of life when West Ham move into the Olympic stadium.

Happened across this pub whilst visiting last Saturday and have to say we had a wonderful time. Made very welcome, made some new friends, and will definitely return when next in the area.

This pub has made a lot of changes since 2003. Most recently, they are getting a Darts Team together. Earlier this year they started an Open Mike for music on Sundays, which starts and ends early, so that everybody can still get up early on Mondays. A spin-off from the Open Mike is singer-songwriter-guitarist Phoebe, who will be doing a Thursday night there soon. Last year they converted the back yard into a garden with seating for smokers.

Garyoke is still going strong there on Saturday nights. All music sounds good at the Princess of Wales (without being too loud), because of the wood-covered walls and ceiling.

Also still there are the pool table, quiz machine, juke box, and the big screen for football and racing. Meals are now served between 5pm and 8, Monday to Thursday, and they also do a Sunday Roast.

This pub has now more than recovered from the building works last year which converted the rest of the block into a giant aquarium.

Nice pub, a bit pretencious about what bands they ahve play there(only the best and all the people off of x factor my grat aunt fanny).

Atmospheres quiet good during the day but have seen too many people with thier heads being kicked in to the pavemtn at 2 am for my liking to stay there after midnight

What a great pub, never fail to have a fantastic night here. Locals really friendly, great drinks, great bar staff, great karaoke and a good late night. Make sure i visit monthly! Unpretentious, a nice normal pub.

Former coppers pub, EXCELLENT THAI FOOD AT VERY REASONABLE PRICES ! Unless you are an avid gore-blimey West Ham fanatic, stear clear on WHFC games where the oversized TV will attract hosts of local meat heads pursiung their fatuous tribal intersts, otherwise a perfecly affable environment. Beer O.K. food better.
