Really enjoyed my first visit to this place last week, tastefully decked out in a modern "hip" manner with extremely friendly staff. Menu was a bit large (too much choice really) but the Thursday "Street Food" I had (Mexican) was extremely good. Sampled the beer, also good and I think I counted 5 cask ales on.

Easily the best pub on market street, not that the competition is hot. It seems to atracts a fairly varid age range and generally has a good atmosphere.

Owners do not care about customers. Completely useless pub. Poor beers, agressive bouncers and mediocre food. Avoid at any cost in the evening, most pubs in Ashby are better.

Came here whilst on a messy crawl around Ashby, recommended in the "Stange Pubs Guide" as it used to be a bear pit, hence the stuffed bear, not Bungle.

Beer was ok.

The best pub in town bar none. Any negative comments are just people clutching at straws for somthing to write. the only pub where any day any time you are served with a smile and manners. The gem of the town!

Great warm atmosphere kind of pub, well run and very friendly. Although prices are slightly higher than other local pubs it is well worth the little extra cost as the astmosphere makes you want to stay.

A credit to the owners and chain. Well worth a visit during the day/evening

Good place, rugby lot can take over a bit though. Jim's one of the best landlords i've ever met.

The Pub is ok but the rugby lot do tend to love them selfs and the beer is very over priced.

used to be great when Jim was there, kareoke was such a good laugh. im a little bit confused as to what they are trying to achieve these days tho. family pub? young pub? old boys? trendy? traditional? new decor doesnt really go with the character of the pub at all. food is really good but the beer is awful and all drinks are disgustingly overpriced. i was charged 30p the other day to add a tiny splash more lemonade to my vodka. ridiculous.

If you fancy battling to get to the bar between leary old men then this is the pub for you. Oh it has a bear under the floor and a well, possibly worth a look if your not too thirsty.
