I love this place and landlord and landlady are great. I have heard mixed reviews of food and service from friends but I can only speak from my personal experience which has been superb!

Lovely pub in a pleasant setting (we often go on a good dog walk starting from the car park for 2 miles in a loop through countryside back to the green). Sunday roast is a winner, and the evening menu (big blackboard as you walk in) has lots of tempting options! Took me several minutes to choose... One fish dish was overly greasy but otherwise pretty reliable.

A tightly-run little ship. No concessions to the "gastro-pub" trends, just traditional old-fashioned pub "fayre" - ie. big portions of chips, peas and onion rings with everything. But alright nonetheless. Beer good. Service attentive and friendly.

A splendid pub in a picturesque location. Well worth a visit. A good menu displayed upon a blackboard. Excellent service from a family team.

Very good all round. A Green King pub with a large selection of food to offer. One of the best pub meals I have had in a long time. Nice in and out. Fast service. Limited whisky selection is only reason not getting a 10.
