Visited here on a group outing and thought it a lovely place with well cared for ales mainly with a local slant like Hogs Back and Long Man which we had. Highly recommended.

The pub is growing a huge reputation for real ales & real ciders. Upto 6 real ales and upto 8 real ciders on offer.
Camra members can get discount on casked beers show your card as the bar.

Their is to be a beer Festvial with 22 real ales & 8 ciders on offer at the end of October, a 3 day event with live music and rugby World Cup final show over Halloween weekend.
Beers to include fireside, Andwells, brains, dark star, Westons ciders and many more.

Surrey hills, hop art, Young's, and Andwells are the regular local beers on offer.
Their has been many ales on since Mark & Carol took over in April.
ESB, Summer Lighting & King John have been my favourite so far

Back in May their was a 3 day cider festival that went really well, which lead to 8 real ciders making a regular feature - always check cider board to what's on offer when visiting.

The pub dates back to 16th century and had a lot of history - dogs welcome and families, large beer garden with children's play area, the pub has Knaphills famous bridge leading onto Waterers park.
Quiz night Tuesday from 9pm
Curry Wednesday 5-9
Casked ale night Monday's from 5 to 11 £3 a pint
Sunday roasts 12-6 with full food menu

I highly recommend visiting the pub, always a great & freindly warm welcome

New management yet again.
I have been using this pub for many years and seen many changes. I welcomed the new management and really hoped this time they would get it right and supply locals with a quality pub once again.
All old bar staff gone, new owners running the bar but are clueless and no warm welcome at all. New chef, quality food and very enjoyable but more variety needs to be on the menu because the chef is very capable of producing this.
My biggest problem was uncontrollable louds yobs who seem to know the management running riot with disgusting language and childish behaviour.. quite intimidating to be honest. Such a shame this is a cosy pub and should be a hub for the locals to meet up enjoy good beers and catch up. One day someone will do this lovely pub justice
mysteryshopper40 - 15 Dec 2014 18:16
New management changed again, hopefully stay a lot longer this time. 3 real ales Youngs Orginal and Surrey hills shere drop are the regulars with a guest beer usallly around the 4.2-4.5% mark.
Nice pub with a large beer garden. TV in corner.
A cottage style pub

This is our local pub and it has now (thankfully) been taken over by new management - we met the landlord and he has another successful pub nearby, very nice chap keen to get the pub going again. ... and they are going to be making it more family friendly - hurrah....Sunday lunch in the pub!
Looking forward to new menus and live music too...and spending Summer in the lovely garden with a glass of wine!

Have visited this pub on a regular basis over the past 10 years, it used to be a great pub with a wonderfull 'old world character' great food and a warm friendly atmosphere. Over the past 2 years I have seen a transition to a characterless 'wine bar' atmosphere, a succession of diferent food managers & menus, some good some not so good & an inconsistency as to whether food was actually on or not.I have found the beer is generally not well kept and the staff don't seem to have anybody on site to make decisions, not sure if this is a brewery managed pub or it has a landlord but it has had no 'host' since the last landlord left some years ago. What a shame !

Recent crawl through the village pubs started here and found it to be a decent pub. Fairly welcoming with nice range of beers and pretty relaxed 'pubby' environment. Will probably return soon.

A cottage looking pub has got a morden but traditional look inside, 4 Handpumps on offer and is a the Real Ale pub of Knaphill. Tried and enjoy the Blacksheep Bitter so much I stayed and had 3 of them and shall be going back shortly. London Pride and Young's Orginal are the regualar ales and 2 Guest Ale handpumps Blacksheep being a guest, while the 2nd one was empty.

Seating at the front of the pub while their is a beer garden at the rear to be found. The pub has a large food menu to enjoy. TV at one end of the pub showing live sports. Its really worth a visit here! Great Atmosphere and Freindly!

A perfectly fine ale house, especially if you get to sit in one of the sofas over to the right. Good but small selection of ales as well as the usual vast range of fizzy pop for the boys. Bit short on the bar staffing front so be prepared for a bit of a wait giving you plenty of time to make up your mind! Lighting a bit harsh as they may be using those so called energy efficient lights they're horrid! My biggest gripe though is the dominant over sized telly above a very nice but unused Victorian fireplace. No one was watching the garish sport or what ever but it so off putting as I really wanted to concentrate on the subject of my attentions but you'll have to work that one out yourselves Nice discrete place, thats what I like.
