In here lunchtime on Monday 15th. Quiet as you would expect but landlord and a couple of locals were friendly. Greene King IPA (3.20) and Abbot.

This pub is under new management - and currently do not accept credit cards.

They managed to "mislay" our order so we spent 40 mins watching everyone who came in and ordered after us, eating their dinners.

The Sunday roast wasn't too bad, but whilst we are eating the dinner they overheard a private converstation about something else. They took offence, thinking it was about their food, so they threw the money back on the table and removed the dinner plates whist we were eating. Their service was terrible and rude.

DONT GO THERE -

A good local pub. Had heard one or two negative comments about this place prior to going there but it was fine. Landlady has her work cut out for her, as regulars seem to get a bit wild, but she doesn't stand for any nonsense. On the evening I went there they put out a pot of chilli and bread rolls free for punters to help themselves. Decent beer and looks like a solid menu but haven't eaten there apart from the chilli, which should be on the menu if it isn't!

Nice cosy pub with friendly staff and atmosphere. Good beers on tap and quite a good food menu too. Can seem a bit too quiet there so maybe a TV or jukebox is needed to live things up a bit???
