Never again!! The service was disjointed and for the duration of our meal we were served by at least five different members of staff, none of whom seemed older than school age. The food was of a poor quality and to cap it all we were followed from the pub and accused of NOT paying our bill.

This place is run by kids because the managers are greedy selfish people who employ kids to save on wages. They have no concern for customer care neither the managers nor the immature staff. The place may look ok at first but we then discovered there were dead flies and moths in the cutlery and sauce jars, dirty tables, very immature staff clearly with attitude problems. kids running riot. We would never go back to this place again. I can now see why so many people have commented on several different reveiw sites that this place has gone extremely downhill since being taken oever by the current managers. Awful experience. Please get some managers that actually have a clue on how to run a successful business.

Children running around wild, tables not cleared of plates - not for me.

really would never go to this pub again. We (a group of 8) went for a meal after waiting for 2 hours the food arrived only to find that it was either undercooked of part of the mixed grill was missing. The plates were not even cleaned properly after the meal before. The manager would not come out to see us after we requested and we were basically told we could have a free drink. we declined. the manager still would not speak to us saying that she was busy so we were told to leave by a member of staff who was very rude. We spent 80 and had basically just handed it over for nothing.

A lovely little pub but unfortunately appears to be run by kids, all of the staff that I saw whilst there appeared to be an average age of 16.

I agree. Used to work here and it was a great country pub, but since Greenhalls took over a few years back they ruined it by knocking all the rooms together.
Used to have "over-25s only" disco night but they even knocked the "ballroom" into the lounge.

it looks an impressive pub from outside but i was very dissappointed inside it looks tired and old, not to mention the staffs attitude, they just didn't seem to care. The food wasn't good at all but what can you expect in a two for one menu. I dont think we'll be coming again which is a pity since i live near by.

God I used to love this place but my oh my has this place suffered for the big chain merger last year. Its gone right down hill what used to be a great country pub changed into a nice modern dinning experience but now as part of the spirit group it is a boil in the bag disgrace!!! Come back all is forgiven!!
