There are signs on the doors and windows saying it is closed until thurther notice. so i do not know why happened.

first visit for years, good corner boozer, piped music was very loud and only 6 of us in there trying to chat so a bit pointless, must be getting old, but that apart well worth trying on a pub crawl (note ale in bottles only)

This pub is fantatsic and really welcoming. It is a traditional locals pub where people come to chat and relax. The weekends here are great I went in on a Friday night once and there were 3 ladies behind the bar putting on a right perfomance dancing and singing they made me feel so wlecome.
I would suggest anyone to go and have a drink in this lovely little find.

Terrible beer, pool table in a room smaller than a rabbit hutch. Avoid this place if possible.

Richard has it spot on, a great, friendly welcoming local boozer. Go and enjoy.
