Empty when we arrived and still empty when we departed on a Tuesday lunchtime. We each had a bowl of tasty soup and a very nice pint of Dartmoor ale.On a cold day the place was not particularly warm. Landlady very pleasant. Just a shame that such a nice little place was not busier.

A very cosy place this is indeed.
We had a lovely fish and chips dinner here washed down with a few beers.
Lovely area too.

10/10

Good food, good ale, pleasant staff and friendly locals, the only problem is finding somewhere to park the car.

Nice pub, we ate in the bar which was bustling. Service was a bit slow but I overheard that the managers were at a wedding... food was delicious and leaned towards an a la carte feel. Would go back.

Fantastic pub near to the Village of Chagford on North Dartmoor, the pub actually lies in the hamlet of Sandy Park, hence it's name! The ale is good, up to 4 ales on and one served by gavity this is usually the guest beer. food good and pretty good prices. if you want a typical Devon country pub then this it! lovely bar and lounge/restaurant, huge inglenook, worth the drive from Plymouth or any where for that matter!

Out in the sticks here for sure.
Very nice pub, mostly locals but I suspect there's plenty of grocks in the season.
Good beer and the food was good too.
