Can confirm pub has burnt to the ground. Drove past yesterday and this is not repairable, will be a full rebuild.

Banks's bitter okay - but the place was empty on a Saturday afternoon.

Decent pint of Hobgoblin on Wednesday night. Other cask choice was Banks's Bitter, didn't try it!

Visited on a Monday at about 5pm . Had the feeling this may have recently changed Licencee but may be wrong. Big ,roomy Marstons pub well kept. Two ales on , Banks Bitter and Jennings Swan Lake,Both of which tasted very good. No food that day.Empty apart from very slow dribble of workers on their way home.I hope this was just the time of day because this feels a good pub.

Only had Pedigree on, which was cheap at 1.90! Only had a half, and was suprisingly good. We were deterred from eating there based on the price (and we're students!). Settled on a great curry in Stirchley.

No direct reason to avoid this place, although it was DEAD (last) Sunday evening. Very spacious, which exaggerated the emptiness. Enough of a reason to go elsewhere I spose.

Although I live in the area I had not been to this pub before, and visited today with a rambling group doing the Canal and Rea Valley walkway. We had booked a meal in advance, and what a feast it was. A two course meal for 3.95 was unbelievable good value, and superb food. It is a Marstons house so the choice was limited to Banks and Pedigree, but I enjoyed my visit there.
