please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Certainly a locals pub and we didn't really click with the place.

It is certainly a football pub which is not to our taste. The food advertised looked very good value pub grub which we like.

Pint of proper job went down a treat, but still only stayed for just the one.

5/10

Nice community pub. Decent beer. Does food but I've never had it so can't comment. Reasonably priced.

Pales in comparison to other Greenbank pubs, but the service isn't bad and it serves pub grub, which other locals don't. But not the best.

God this place is not what it used to be, the bloke who seems to own it now is a bit un-friendly, and this place used to be really cheap, its now more expensive than some of the pubs on the barbican, and the food was disappointing compared to the old seymour that has disappeared by the look of it! Such a shame

The other comments are all true. This is a really quality gaff. Whether you're a student or a pub geezer, this place has something to offer everyone. Service is superb, the atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming and everyone is friendly. It's everything a pub should be.

I have fond memories of the Seymour from my days with the University Cricket Club - don't know if they still sponsor it, but I certainly hope they do. Well recommended for being a friendly little pub with good beer.

BTW, if any Uni alumni are reading this, please contact me at [email protected] for details of the London alum assoc.

Without doubt the greatest little rub-a-dub in this part of the city. Failure to visit this gem in the crown of licensed properties, would be like visiting Venice and failing to see a canal. So there !!!!

Have beaten riks working record, I've now been there 2 years, definitely the best pub I've found, not for you if you don't like to get to know people, you will get talked at by some characters (Taff particularly)

Definitely the best pub in Plymouth, it was my local for 4 years. The landlords are really friendly and the atmosphere is great. This is what I really miss about leaving Plymouth!

best pub full stop. I worked there for a year and a half whilst at Uni and it very quickly became my home. The landlords were more like friends than employers. they really looked after their staff and their customers. Good cheap beer, locals and students mix surprisingly very well, some real characters in that place i tell you..good memories.

Fantastic pub, good food, great sports (both on tv and pub teams!)pool, darts, fantastic jukebox, near the town centre, cheap. What more do you want!

Best pub in Plymouth. The beer tastes great due to the landlord taking lots of pride in keeping his pipes clean. Big screen for the football, good jukebox, pool table, and great value food.

A friendly local 5 minutes from the city centre. A great pub to watch footy.
