Small but very friendly pub just down from the Curry Mile. Didn't really know what to expect, but was made to feel very welcome. Does an excellent and reasonably priced pint of Hydes, and the City decor is great. Great place to meet for a pint. Highly recommended

As a student I used to live just around the corner and given the not unreasonable hostility to blanket-sucking student scum I was very pleasantly surprised how welcome we were made. The beer was superb, too That was many years ago and, although the place has had a major refurb, the friendliness and quality of the place has endured.

I hope it survives the loss of the Man City trade. It well merits a visit.

Hydes did a beltin refurb in here...Pity its 5 mins from the `curry Mile` as it deserves more passing custom..Good pub

I've drank at this pub for a year, and if you're looking for a nice, quiet pub where you can have a conversation and a good pint at a very reasonable price, this is great. Friday and Saturday nights are a bit louder, usually with a DJ. The regulars are great people, but if you are a student and act like a total prat, their displeasure will be quite obvious. Almost 100 percent scally free. The best pub in Rusholme by any measure.

A nice quiet local pub which has the added benefit of being not 30 seconds stagger from my front door. It's a Hydes pub so the beer is pretty good; not brilliant, but it's well kept and not badly priced. A decent selection of drunk old men will keep you entertained whilst you drink. There's a dartboard too, and depending on which landlady is currently imcumbent, drinking up times tend to be, er, fairly relaxed.
