NOPE, Go to inigo this place has no atmosphere anymore.

I agree a ghastly dive with great views of the south circular

Ghastly & expensive dive with less atmosphere than the moon.

And what's worse, when I asked for a Becks, the slack-jawed Antipodean barman served me a Budweiser! He said it was "about the same"... Wtf?

Apart from the fact it's situated next to the Common, I find it fiendishly difficult to understand how Oblivion attracts the crowds...

But then again, Village Idiot Dubya Bush just got elected again, so what do I know?

looooooove this place..always rockin on a sunday....roll on summer and everyone will be out front again on those long sunday evenings!bar staff are a little rude, but nothing you cant get over!

Man I love this place!!! Forget the booze, the music gets me back every time!

A bar i'd love to work in!

Some of the rudest staff around. Obviously don't see customer service as important as every time I've gone there it's different staff and they are always as rude as the last lot. If people hate their jobs that much then they should work somewhere where they have no contact with people, otherwise, just smile and be polite. Simple. Go there about once a year now as that's how long it takes me to forget how awful it is. No atmosphere and is completely empty during the week unless it's hot. Pity, could be such a nice place.

Loud fun ideal for getting lashed on a Sunday. I am horrified to say that I picked up my husband to be there!
Lucky to stay open given the local residents opinions of the place and their efforts to close it down - dancing without an ent. licence is not allowed due to the current laws

Response.

To Lucy. Lost their entertainment licence !. Actually not the case. Never had one in the first place. Aging local resident with camera phone calls to Council. Get the idea !. Sundays kaput !. Not quite ! Better than ever judging by the sales.

To JP. Dull, dirty, boring, old blokes, smelt damp, rank. Can only suggest you went to the wrong place. If you didnt and though the customers were old blokes you must be about 5 and really should,nt be there for another 20 yrs !.

Cheers Don Owner

I can't see what there is about this place to get excited about. It's okay to drop in for a swift one, but there are countless better/more imaginative bars in SW London.

Apparently have just lost their entertainment licence and now have signs up saying "No Dancing" so Sundays is kaput!

this place absolutely rocks. The best DJs, the best atmosphere and best staff (so finger up to you Chris from comment on 26th August)

Went there once, thought it was dull, dirty and boring! only punters there were old blokes at the bar. The place smelt damp. rank! Maybe I went on a shite night.

Excellent pub with great atmposphere and really good DJ's. Seems to rock from Thursday til closing on Sunday

Unfortunatly, this bar has taken a turn for the worse since last year...it is a lot cleaner after the refit, but there seems to have been a change in the crowd on busy nights such as sunday...and the staff are about as professional as a bunch of circus clowns...shame...
Chris - 26 Aug 2003 09:23
Wicked bar, Wicked people. Sundays rock accept they do get VERY crowded and sweaty. The tunes rock, the DJ's are good and the beer is cold. People who dont like it would be boring english swine.

Not bad with enough space outside to sit and enjoy in the summer, if you don't mind talking above the traffic. Good looking women the Monday that I was there. Bitburger on tap if you like that sort of thing.

too many aussies, pushy, drunk and who think inxs is great music ... puh-leeeze

Always a good night out - Friday night DJ is the best in the area without a doubt! Shame you can't dance on the bar anymore though!
Kel - 16 May 2003 15:59
Absolutly superb. Now refit is done, it's clean too!!!...Bonus! Sound system need attention, but doesn't put off the happy crowd. *****

The most insane Sunday evening you are ever likely to have.
Why not try it. You will never think of Sundays as quiet again...
