since june 07 the pub has been under new ownership.they are very family orientated people and welcome everyone into their extended home.they have a lot of new ideas for 08,which i think will go down very well.it did have its problems, but those elements have been eradicated.i am looking forward to a new year and a new start for a very good venue

you lot obviously aint been there recently, as the new landlord is a really nice bloke and has sorted out the pub.
every time i have been there, i have allways been made to feel welcome, and have never seen a fight or any trouble.
i even got an invite for christmas dinner there, which was lovely.

This is truly the chavs choice of pub!! I have lived near the pub for the last 24 years and it is awful. It rough and its clientele represent this. Please avoid unless you are a drunk or chav.

Tricky one here.

mpatel's review suggests I should definitely visit, but the previous 2 suggest I should stay away!

Rose and Crown, Ifield Road, West Green, Crawley, West Sussex, RH11 7AS, has strippers on november 8th 2007. I have contacted the council to complain.

They have signs advertising it, in the windows - one on a door, and one in a window on the side of the pub. They have pictures of the performers too!

This is out of order. The pictures shouldn't be there either.

Please please please never go in this skanky poo hole. Its full(well, not quiet) of dirty, pikey, football hooligans. The landlord could do with a good wash, his bar maid could do with a lot of plastic surgery. There are fights on a regular basis, hence the large but lazy bouncers always on the door - (even though the back door is always unmanned and open!!!!)Its not nice inside at all, loo's are about the cleanest part, if you get my drift. Have never ordered food and never would. Mean men walk around intimidating anyone there who has not been inbred from with the pubs community. Dont do it......

Under new management now, but its no help. Nasty pub with bouncers on the door, even on a week day because of its reputation.

We are a band and the landlord short changed us because he's got next to no cutomers and he's losing money. BANDS DO NOT PLAY THERE!!

It's full of pikeys who don't know any better than to stay away.

Do yourself a favour and cross the road and go to The Swan, and hopefully this place will be closed down for good.

It wasn't the height of Saturday evening when I went in but I didn't think that this pub was quite as bad as anonymous felt. In fact, I quite enjoyed it. Live band, and that seems to be the norm most Saturdays, and the pint was alright. Give this pub a try - drink here and you will undoubtedly get drunk

THIS PUB SUCKS...nasty atmosphere, police outside most of the time, locals are horrid and the bar staff are untrained and rude...stay away!

Used to be just 'The Crown'. A short walk from the town centre, and quite a big place. 10 years ago it was the busiest pub in town, but now is much quieter and more for locals and regulars. Pool table
