user reviews of the Albion, South Norwood

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Sitting the opposite corner to the Jolly Sailor, the Albion looks the more promising of the two. Sadly this did not prove to be the case.

The beer was fine. However sadly the pub was punctuated by human misery and a domestic dispute.
Stay at home and watch Jeremy Kyle. The beer's cheaper.

Came in after a game at Selhurst Park some time ago....beer was fine but the choice was not up to much.

Atmosphere pretty divoid and service was friendly enough.

Alright pub but I wouldn't rush back.

The Ship sounds okay currently.

Although nothing to write home about, didn't have any problems with this place on my visit, however only stayed for one (as intended)
No real ales, a bit of a small locales pub, however, board games, pool table, and the best of all, a digital jukebox offer a few quaint touches
Service was decent enough too

Under new management, beer and general cleaniness have dramitically detoriated.

Avoid at all costs!

A friendly atmosphere at a really nice pub, run by a friendly family. Often holds a Kareoke night amongst other things. Does get a bit full on football matchdays but other than that truly an amzing pub! % minutes walk from Norwood Junction station. 15 mins walk from Selhurst Park.

The Albion is one of those places you have to love or hate. I walked in there three months ago for the first time and haven't turned back since.
The Landlord and Landlady are the friendliest of people you can meet; and everyone that works there know how to pull a bloody good pint and a good laugh. It's not the biggest of places, but what it lacks in size makes up for in atmosphere. Friday night's vary from Ronnie playing his unique style of music alongside killer pool; or there could be lucky lips lisa's Karaoke. December brings a Glamrock night into town - should be interesting!
You cannot moan about the bar snacks either, only the fact that multiple trays can be emptied off within 10 minutes!
For Palace supporters this place is a must. Darren Powell's playoff boot sits behind the bar.
You have to give this place a go at least once, Friday nights are a good laugh, but then again so are any other nights you spend in there. The regular's are all top class people and welcome anyone in with no fuss.

It has to be one of the best pubs i have ever been in to. The people are so friendly. You feel at home in the pub.
