Have continued using the dukes - I might say if the photo of exterior seems 'normal as in drab' - IGNORE! Great place inside. Myself; I don't bother with the other pubs in Sunninghill now.

By the way the interior pic is out of date; now a more trad pub feel but pmas some clubbiness here and there. Good staff here - all locals it seems, & committed to the place.

What a great pub! Somewhere with character. My visit whilst in the area got me good food at a low price , rocking Rudolph beer and local banter galore. Certainly a 'real' feel to the place. Give them a try when passing - top marks.

What a strange contradiction of a pub. Extremely average beer (not worth a 2nd pint) , big screen TVs competing with music system making it difficult to hold a conversation, luxurious furnishings and a forest of plants you need to negotiate to get to the main bar. A delightful bar lady who didn't know what Twiglets were.
Not worth a return visit.

Family dinner on a Sunday evening. Lovely atmosphere, wonderful hearty food, warm welcome, and EXCEPTIONAL value for money. Very highly recommended.

I have visited the dukes head on numerous occasions, and i personally think it is absolutely lovely. Not only is it the cheapest pub within the area but it also is the most welcoming.
Fantastic atmmosphere on fri/sat night. All varieties of people from the old to the new.
Not only have they arranged a darts teams but they also bring in entertainment.
There is a good old traditional sunday roast,pool table and games machine.
The pub caters for all ages.
In the summer the pub even provides a barbeque and a bouncy castle for the kiddies.

Definately an atmosphere, not sure if was a positive one though. Clean and bright inside, Value for money.

Good pub with a mixture of young and old, with a pool table and recently added Bigger television with sky for the football, pretty good food and friendly staff
