Used to be run by an ex army man, Carl.
He'd tell the wife he was going to the loo and dash along to the Outrigger and neck either a bottle or two bottles of Holsten pils.. depending on how long he thought he could gat away with. He was never in the Outrigger more than 10 minutes.
The Barge was pretty souless and won't be much missed.

Refurbished - now CLOSED and looking for new owners - speaks volumes !

Used to love this place. We just called it the "sport bar".
Cheap monday night drinks was always something to look forward too.

The place has been refurbished now. Not a sports bar anymore, and the cheap drinks are more expensive.

Still it brings back good memories

the pub has been painted and looks alot better than it did. the toilets are still crap. but it is a lot nicer now the beer is very nice now.

the toilets are always a bloody state! Honestly, you need waders in the gents, always.

Beer is poor, spirits taste funny (watered?)

regulars look like you recognise them from crime watch!

Music is too loud

wasted oppotunity if ever there was one

An absolute slum!! aggresive numbskull door staff and poor beer. The only plus point's are the pool table's and the music on the weekend's

This is a really quite bad place to go.- the only vague recomendation is that there's often a couple of tables to play pool on.

Also the place is full of absoblute morons- generally the younger brothers of the chealsea scum who spend their whole time coked up in the Bishop's upstairs bit

You blind fools! there is nothing good to say about this screaming example of all that is wrong with Kingston. The only rules of entry are as follows: under 18, cap or hoody, american sport shirt, smoking a cigarette like a 13 year old does to impress. Lifetime membership for those holding their slut by the neck and calling them 'cnut' loud enough for all to hear.
Don't go, if you have to, take an uzi

Used to go here when I was at school and loved the place. Now I am older and wiser I can see it for the toilet it really is. Having said that - Peter Lynch is correct. It is the best place in Kingston to watch England games - big screen, loads of extra TVs dotted round the place and a buzzing atmosphere.

This Pub had a reputation for serving those of a mildly young variety. For awhile it definatly got better, but then last time I went back they had definatly gone back to their old habits and I recognised several local school kids who should never have been allowed in.

No proper beer, overpriced, loud. Good views of the TV - but can't you get that at home?

watch out for the bouncers. if they don't like you, you're in trouble.
