Only one of 3 handpumps operating dispensing stale real ale.

Touch of the nursery rhymes on a Tuesday lunchtime as a man I can only presume to be the landlord was counting out money at the bar upon my entrance. The working week meant I wasn't able to comment on the Courage Bitter or Tribute that were on tap, but the service was friendly enough despite my being the only customer in there. Located on the corner of Cox Green Lane and Cox Green Road, The Foresters is a largish estate pub with an L-shaped bar, to the right of which is a pool table and wooden flooring and the left various seating on carpeted floor. Some mention of live music and a large flat-screen TV showing Bargain Hunt on my sojourn. Can't speak for evenings and weekends but one suspects the White Van count in the car park to be on the high side.

This place really is the pits - they've stopped attempting to do food in the pub and there's now a greasy Kebab van in the car park

It's just been done up so someone thinks it's worth spending money on, The Forresters was one of the few two bar pubs in the area but has now been knocked into one. A new bar man took pride in his beer, but has since left, now this place has gone back into being a run down local.

The staff are miserable and don't acknowledge you. They are lazy and bone idle. Go in and see it for yourself. And it's patronised by the local low life.

Unbelievably this pub has got worse since Geoff left, at least Geoff looked after the beer! Service is atrocious from some bar staff who spend their time, like the landlady, on their mobiles barely registering customers who are at the bar.
Later in the evening expect to be assaulted by cleaning fluid sprayed around you or bar staff dousing themselves with perfume.
Due to become more food orientated, given the above it is difficult to imagine eating in here.
The locals are great and deserve so much better.

One of life's mysteries is how 50 pubs a week can be closing but this one stays open.

What possible reason could anyone have for spending their money here?

Bone idle Manager Geoff (brother of owner) even if no other staff present will not shift himself to serve you when he's perched on a barstool staring into space.
