This pub is in a really bad area. Witch makes it hard to believe they have managed to keep it a really really good pub. I have never had a bad beer in there and I guess I never will. I would lay money on all the bad comments on here about this pub are by 1) ASS holes that have been kicked out 2) By other local pubs and landlords. If you would like to go to a pub with a friendly pub witch had a really down to earth landlord... THE ROYAL OAK (penge) PHIL- keep up the good work mate.

Thoroughly dodgy pub in the middle of a dodgy housing estate. I can't think of a single good thing to say about it.

Good old fashioned pub - Phil and Kath are great landlords - great atmosphere.

Agree with 'anonymous' - avoid this pub at all costs. it is a hole of a pub in the middle of blocks of flats. It stinks, serves the worst beer you will ever drink and should be knocked down asap. Really, just don't bother.
