A nice pub thats easy to find on the main road through the village. Good food and a selection of beers is normally available. There is space whether you're eating or have just popped in for a drink so its very welcoming!

I think all bets are off on previous comments as this pub has just been taken over by the owner of the squire in chipping sodbury. It re-opend on the 1st and we went down on Saturday night for food and the place now looks great. Up to date and certainly gives the village a pub to be proud of. The service was friendly and punctual and the food was top quality pub food. Well done to the new owners - hope it goes from strength to strength :o)

Well we stayed here last month, and what a fantastic time we had. We met other TOGS for the day. The pub iself is lovely, beer was perfectly kept, the food (including brekkie) was first class.
Our double room was very well appointed.
We are doing it all again in September!!

This pub does appear to have overcome its troubles - remember the road being closed for gas main repairs in the late 80s? - and come through well.
Went past - though didn't go in - last September; and it looked better than it has for years.

No rating - at least fifteen years since I visited to buy beer.

This pub has been through some tough times over the last few years, which was a real shame. This left it a bit tatty and the food went downhill. Now under new owners (May 05) and seems to be turning the corner. Accomodation is good (my Mum and Dad use it)with clean, comfy beds and matching ensuite.
