Very cosy, friendly pub with good food and well kept beer.

Escapees from Lakeside should acquaint themselves.

Visited with friends of ours on a Saturday evening and ate in the Restaurant area. 3rd time we've been now and must say food is delicious. Lovely staff. Will be coming more. Highly recommended!

Popped in last night to meet some mates. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff, and appeared to be a number of people eating some delicious looking food. Several real ales on handpump, which included a guest beer Holts MapleGold from Manchester, a seasonal beer I've not seen down here. It was OK, but was 4.10 a pint. I know George Osborne takes much of this in tax, but blooming 'eck!

Lovely local - great food both in the bar and the restaurant. Prefer eating in the bar as it feels more part of the whole pub ambience. Good range of beers!

Further to my earlier review, I've now tried the food and highly reccomend the sausage and mash.

Nice pub.

Nice, friendly, quiet pub. Not one for a stag night out with the boys but great for a pint and conversation. Beer was good and I'm told the food is too (not tried it).

Don't let the Greene King sign put you off, this is a first rate pub.

Discovered this delightful establishment, quite by accident, looking for a decent pub within a few miles of our new home, having recently moved from Reading.

Great atmosphere, good food at reasonable prices and a really nice bunch of locals.

A definite "Come Back Again" for both myself and my wife (the incredibly picky one)

French night last night, Tim the chef did himself and everyone proud. Brilliant food, great wine (which they certainly didn't skimp on!) and all for the great price of 25! Service was excellent, and the atmosphere fabulous. A must!

Very good range of 6 cask ales all pretty well kept (Greene King)
Food was excellent if a little bit expensive but a very friendly welcome and the whole family welcomed too (Unlike the Prince Of Wales down the road in Farnborough!!)
All round good place to visit and highly reccomended

This is a truly remarkable pub, both traditional in looks but up-to-date in its approach,
Very clean and outstanding lunchtime food

In the evening it has a fantastic ala cart restaurant with a fine wine list, I can highly recommend it you want be disappointed.
