What a great Sunday Lunch we had last week. The roast was delicious - plus we have eaten superb meals there during the week and lunchtimes. We have always received a very friendly welcome. Well done Mayford Arms.

Under new ownership & now has a great atmosphere. Great food, friendly staff & a lovely garden. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice Sunday lunch, reasonable price. Staff friendly. Forgot my jacket and had to go back. Thanks for holding on to it for me.

This used to be a nice pub but sadly it's gone right down the pan. It seems to have changed hands a few times and it's crying out for someone to put it on the right path...shame.

Under new management since beginning of April. A change for the worse. The new landlord & landlady seem incapable of interacting with the customers. Spend most of their time outside have a ciggy. No wonder the previously flourishing pub golf society has moved to another nearby local.
How can anyone run a pub and not offer food over a bank holiday?
Only one bitter on tap. Green King IPA.
Sadly, this pub under the current management will not last long. If passing keep going.
I will now move to better pubs in the locality.

Visiting area and dropped in for a pint. Large clean refurbished Green King pub, which was busy for a Wednesday, with several areas to sit if you didn't watch to watch Spurs v AC Milan on TV which was not intrusive. Friendly barman and best pint of GK IPA I've had for a long which at 3.10 was a little pricey but average for Woking area I guess. Will drop in again next time I'm passing.

I never used to go in this pub untill one of my friends said lets go in this pub for lunch. And it was brilliant! There were two people behind the bar, Clive and Denny, which i both knew, not too well though. And they were both polite and they gave their absolute 100% attention to the customers. The Mayford is now one of my favourite pubs!
Better than the Bird In Hand just round the corner!
Keep up the good work you guys!

The new owners seem to be making an effort and theres live music on a Saturday beer is well kept and service friendly, pub was quiet and you would feel comfortable taking your partner in here

not really sure about this pub it changes owners so often and quite a few times ive gone to go in and its been closed, a bit of a chavs venue which i wouldnt of expected
striker1707 - 26 Oct 2007 17:57
A pub full of chavs, was okay when the new management first moved in but they soon lost interest, drove past and it says its closed until further notice, which doesnt surprise me
anonymous - 17 Sep 2007 15:30
Lost its way a bit
kennard - 22 Aug 2007 00:07
We haven't tried their beer, yet, but the steak and ale pie is amazing. Chips could be crisper. Can't wait to go back!
bezonline - 26 May 2007 15:29
Decent pub, new management making an effort beer is better recently.
murphspark - 28 Feb 2007 15:07
New management appear to be having a good effect
stirrer - 26 Feb 2007 14:11
Agree the beer always tastes flate and a bit "off". New management seem to be making an effort, had a few undesirables in trying their luck, but hopefully once they've been weeded out should be a decent boozer.
NOMADS - 27 Jan 2007 13:54
Nice enough pub, agree about the beer though
JonPearce - 4 Jan 2007 23:18
Has changed hand again recently and has been a bit busier, bar staff are nice but the beer is still crap, dont know what the problem is but it tastes a bit odd
drinkingman - 2 Jan 2007 17:05
Oh dear another landlord gone pop. Currently under temporary management.
BoozyBoy - 2 Aug 2006 14:02
A bit on the clicky side you drink your beer and disappear quite quickly. Bar staff were nice though and the beer was good.
supersam - 16 Jun 2006 18:16
