Agree with last comment. Ouside is idylic. Pity is the inside looks like an old scouts club, and unfortunately when I was greeted by stares, couldn't bring myself to walk out, out of politeness.

If you wear tight leathers and are a member of Hells Angels, who enjoys summising over a pint of rough cider, then this is the pub for you.

Just be careful you aren't knocked over on your way out, by a speeding intoxicated biker.

A delightful pub from the outside in a lovely little village. The menu was a typical pub grub menu. We ordered basic pub meals that came out on an audacious gold plated plate, but it was actually pretty decent food. Wine menu wasn't up to much. We'd go again.

Food is A1+++++ and service is good too. Good range of beers and nice pint of Black Sheep. I must of been having a really bad day last time I visited.... LOL

Just been taken over by a new landlord - he's a chef so expect the menu to improve. The Sunday dinner today sure was good; as was the ale. The lounge was a little quiet, though the bar pretty full - but it's early days.

Went there after it was featured in the local paper. I didn't really think it was up to much. It felt like an ex-servicemans club, or something like. HOWEVER, I might have been having an off-day myself so I will go again and give the place a 2nd chance.

Every time I visit this pub I find myself thanking the landlord for keeping his beer so well.
The Adnams Broadside is heavenly also has Abbot, and Fuller London Pride and A N Other. All very well kept.
Also very popular for Sunday Lunch.

It is one of my top 3 local favourite watering holes.
